Smith Engineering & BEP Talent Acquisition Specialist 

Smith Engineering PLLC and BEP Analytics LLC are seeking a dynamic and experienced in-house recruiter to join our Human Resources team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full recruitment cycle, from sourcing and attracting candidates to conducting interviews and managing hiring processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of recruitment strategies and a proven track record of successfully placing candidates in a variety of roles.

Location: The Talent Acquisition Specialist is a hybrid position, with the expectation to maintain an office presence three days a week.

This role reports to Smith Engineering’s Director of Finance, and is responsible for the following:

  • Recruitment Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent across various departments.

  • Recruitment Strategy Development: Collaborate with department heads to understand their staffing needs and create targeted recruitment plans.

  • Candidate Sourcing: Utilize various sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, networking, and referrals, to identify potential candidates.

  • Candidate Sourcing: Build and maintain a talent pool of qualified candidates for current and future openings.

  • Candidate Screening and Selection: Review resumes and applications to shortlist candidates based on qualifications and experience.

  • Candidate Screening and Selection: Conduct phone and in-person interviews to assess candidates' suitability for specific roles.

  • Candidate Screening and Selection: Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers and provide feedback on candidate evaluations.

  • Hiring Process Management: Manage the end-to-end hiring process, including job postings, interview scheduling, and offer negotiations.

  • Hiring Process Management: Ensure a positive candidate experience by providing timely updates and feedback throughout the recruitment process.

  • Onboarding: Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including completing necessary paperwork and coordinating orientation sessions.

  • Onboarding: Work closely with the HR team to ensure new employees have a smooth transition into their roles.

  • Employer Branding: Promote the company’s employer brand through various recruitment activities and platforms.

  • Employer Branding: Participate in job fairs, career events, and other networking opportunities to represent the Companies.

  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and company policies during the recruitment process.

  • Compliance and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all recruitment activities and provide regular reports to the Director of Finance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in recruitment, preferably in an in-house or corporate setting.

  • Strong understanding of recruitment strategies and best practices.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.

  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
